Superb!

I have bought it yesterday and spent hours playing this game!!!!

Very good game

I love this game 2thumbs up

Best Farming & Crafting App

I have to say I really like developers and the app. I saw a random overview of TownCraft the week of release and was already sold on it, I bought it right away. It is like this really cool hybrid between FarmVille, MineCraft, and Dont starve. without the pesky IAPs getting in the way. Where TownCraft excels is by having this single player economy; you must maintain your employees while making sure you always have finished products to sell, the discovery system makes it more of a challenge. This is by far one of the best crafting sim apps in the App Store. It has so much potential even in the week of release. They have already issued a bunch of updates. It is well worth the price and I look forward to what more these guys have in store for the future. Cheers to Flat Earth Games!

Crashing on iPad mini

Game was fine before update. Now it crashes when I sell food to merchant for kings feast quest.

Awesome

Really good game

Game crashes a lot later on

Its a good game, I really enjoy it. Only problem is how frequently I find it crashes. Without the constant crashes this would have gotten a higher rating.

App does not Save

Does not save properly. Possibly due to memory constraints (5s) but you wont know until youve lost your work. Please do not buy this.

Nice game!

Work perfectly! Very nice game! Best crafting / gestion game!

Good needs one thing

I love this game, but I really want a multiplayer add because I want to build a town with my friends

Awesome nonviolent crafting game

This was an awesome game. I enjoyed figuring out the different crafting recipes and the different scenarios were fun to play. While the game is a bit glitchy, pausing and going to the main menu fixes most issues. Its definitely a great alternative to the free to play model. Unlike other crafting games like Dont Starve, there is nothing hunt you down, so if you need that kind of drama, youll be disappointed. However, if you want a more sedate game, this one is great.

A far, so good

Ill be honest - I havent played enough for a solid review yet, but I was sad to see it still hasnt gotten a review, so I thought I would talk about what Ive seen so far. The game seems like it took dont starve and mixed it with a similar idea to stone hearth (which isnt out yet.) The graphics are good - I especially love the tree swaying, it added to the scenery - the gameplay is smooth, and overall feels solid. They have a tutorial, which is good but the swiping to close menus is a little odd at first. After some time, you get used to it. The only downside is the tutorial gives you the recipes for the starting equipment, but when you play the first map, your recipe guide is empty again and you have to remember everything you just learned from the tutorial. I kinda wish the tutorial lessons were always available in the recipe guide. A minor thing, but I thought Id mention it. Im still on the first couple of maps, but I love the fact that there are quests! Its open ended, yet there is an ultimate goal. I love minecraft and junk jack, but I often get lost in how open ended it is - some direction is nice. As for actual gameplay, the description is pretty good. You start a town, you build your own buildings and put things in them. You can hire people off the street to work for you, and merchants come to town and will buy goods from you, so you can pay the daily wages for the workers you just hired. There a save system, so you can have multiple games going if you wanted, and so far it works just fine. I dont have any complaints yet really (except the one I mentioned already), but I would be excited to see new recipes or even more animals added. So far Ive just seen birds and fish, but Im hopeful to be able to have a ranch at some point. Overall, if you enjoy games like minecraft or dont starve, I recommend giving this one a try. Its solid, looks like good updates to come, and no stupid IAPs! Im playing this on an iPad 4 with iOS 6.1.3 and I havent seen any bugs or technical issues yet. Happy gaming, and good job devs!

Best strategy-puzzle-creative game (and I am not being flippant)

Absolutely wonderful game! I could not stop playing it. I have tried many games similar to this but this beats them all hands down. Mine lately has been crashing a lot, but that still does not overshadow how amazing this game is.

Enjoyable

I do have to agree with lordsmapy. I am enjoying this game and hope to see it expand.

Needs improvement

I like this game so far, but I feel stuck now. As of now I feel like I wasted $5. More tutorials would be good. Hints along the way would be nice too. Its too hard having to figure out how to make everything on your own. Like-How do you build a tavern? or boiled eggs? Or lanterns? Not as easy as you think. Theres also some glitches. Sometimes people walk in place. And theres a worker who wont go sleep in a bed at night. All the other ones have their own little houses and theres one for him but he just stands there all night. Id like to see some improvements for me to continue playing this game.

Great crafting game

Eventually I figured most things out. Some bugs though. Not sure why my tavern doesnt sell even with every kind of booze in stock. And not much sells from the store. Id also like to see more advanced tech, and the ability to hire more workers to do every job.

Halfway There

Great game with more bugs than I can shake a stick at, from freezing workers to losing anything in a fermentation/baking queue when you save and quit. Also, the fixed market system is very easily exploitable, more dynamic a la supply and demand would help challenge us. Also, why arent my workers collecting from bee houses and why cant I automate brewing/baking!?

Awesome casual crafting game!

My son and I both enjoy this game. I like the fact that I can build and complete quests without having to constantly worry about being attacked or losing my stuff. It is easy for me to play for a couple of hours at a time as I love exploring and figuring out the recipes. Keep the updates coming!!!

Great so far

Music does not play until you go into the pause menu. Game crashes when you try to change gender. Seems to hog a little too much battery power for this type of game, just a little. Excellent game, the bugs I encountered were of little worry. Ipad 4 ios 7.0.2

Minecraft meets Farmville, sort of

A delicious way to be challenged and creative and best of all, not be subject to whining about FB, the Game Center, or IAPs! Ive been playing on my iPad2 (iOS 6.1.3) and its gone smoothly, with no crashes or bugs. This is a deep game involving crafting, time management, growing crops, completing quests (which earn you $$), thinking outside the box, and essentially creating a viable town - so you can move on to the next challenge. The tutorial is pretty basic, but if you get stuck and become frustrated, theres a Towncraft Wiki which will help (use your search engine). Aside from being a fun gaming experience, I enjoy being able to experiment when crafting items and the fun of hitting on the right combination. Accolades to the devs! Best five bucks Ive spent on any app so far, and I know Ill be playing this one for a long time to come.

VERY FUN

Very fun! I normally dont give reviews for games...but I saw this one had no reviews! And was like :0 so this is me saying that this is a very fun game!
